Support Is my S3 dead or is there hope?

    Hi all, dropped my S3 in the bath :(.....done the usual put it in rice etc...

    Powers up perfect, screen perfect, recieves call texts, has signal, picks up wifi, just no touch screen, took it to shop and they said its not the digitizer and they don't know what else it could be.

    Anyone help?

    So, no response from the screen when you touch it? yikes:(
    How long did you leave it in the rice?
    Do you have insurance against water damage?

    No response at all.

    Left it in rice over a week but did try it after a couple of days.

    No insurance :(

    You can try to pay someone to repair it, but the problem iwth water damage is that you never know when it is going to die. I would buy a new one and sell the old one.

    If i was to put in on ebay as water damaged any idea how much i'd get(roughly) also is there a way i can delete my pics, messages etc. through pc?

    Yeah definitely. Water is massively corrosive.

    Also don't just buy a part. Get it assessed as it could be the motherboard or connection that's gone.

    I always insure my devices.
