Hi, just wanted to share this video.

Is that lag I see there? (on the homescreen) Or is it just me? This build looks pretty final seeing as Vodafone's going to be shipping them in 3 days.

Not putting it down, because it's still in the running between GSII and this, but for a "more-or-less" final release, that's quite unacceptable...

And it kinda is being picky, but a phone-out-of-the-box, in the league of the Sensation, simply shouldn't have lag, even if it is minor.

What's gonna happen as soon as you use a few more widgets?

You must admit though, it's doing more with those screen transitions that most other devices.
I like the look of it - but I just know I will start using it and be like "oh, hello Hero/Desire, I'm sure you bored me two years ago didn't you".

There's also some debate about the screen res being a blessing or a curse. Are there apps out there to support it?

True that. And that's one of the reasons why I am swayed to the GSII (bare in mind, i am no ''simple' user and am proud to say I've got an ANDROID, and while I care about the feel of the device - i'd like to make my own feel by using the launchers and whatnot.

One thing I must point out, for me personally is, that my home internet is 1.5Mb to 2MB and my signal in Essex area is really not that good, so that immediately puts "watch" off the pros for this phone.
Also the whole Sense UI will be awesome for a month, but seeing the same 3D animations will eventually bore me and I'm a solid LauncherPro user so I've had the 3D cube animation for a long time now...

About the homescreen - I do love it on 3.0, but I've started using WidgetLocker and while it doesn't look as good as Sense 3.0's lockscreen, I prefer that I can see my battery and to-do widgets.

For me it seems HTC have put so much into Sense 3.0 and mainly how it looks - but the reality is that, I'll just start using LauncherPro after a month MAX, so for me, it just feel like a waste, paying the money for a lovely phone, but also for a UI that, I'm not even going to use.

And as for the apps - how long did it take for the AppStore to make apps for the Retina display???

Ages for many apps. So Android has MORE variety, and I'm guessing the regular developers (ones that don't pay hundreds for an Apple Developer Pack) aren't going to be as urged by Google to upgrade their apps to qHD. That's why I believe, the next gen of qHD's will be much better because many more apps will be converted/made in that qHD resolution.

I think we need to wait for device that can truly handle Sense 3.0, Sensatsion ist not there yet...

Well Sense didn't get boring on my Hero, but I switched to Cronos ROM because it was too laggy.

And HTC's widgets are much better than those on the market right now.

Not if you want scrollable widgets and your not that amazed by a weather widget (which is really good but, after a while it's just a bit......

if you feel that build quality is better than internals, than, indeed you made the right choice.

Did anybody else notice that at 1.08 the htc employee said the sensation has a 1.3mp camera on the front? The htc website says the front facing cam is vga, which is 0.3mp.... I wonder who is right? :D

I've always heard it as 1.3mp and VGA, so I just assumed that it VGA was 1.3 :S
