Is the Desire Hd even real and if so will it actually be released in October? Will it be 3g, and will there be unlocked versions?

I've also read conflicting stories that it will have a Amoled screen ,but also heard it will have a super amoled screen?

And will the phone run the current 1ghz snapdragon or faster?

Yes it is real, it will be 3g and there is no reason to believe there won't be unlocked versions, we don't know a release date but probably september/october.

It almost certainly won't won't have an Amoled screen as HTC had problems with supply and has switched to Slcd. It will not have a superamoled screen as that is a samsung exclusive currently.

It is running a 1ghz snapdragon but this is likely to be a next gen 45nm version, so if true it will perform better (and have better battery life) than the Nexus/Desire all other things being equal.

It was listed on mobiles.co.uk the other day but the page is blank now, still shows up in the 'phone finder' if you select 'htc' it'll be listed in 'the model' drop down menu
