How come every time I send a text message (I'm using Chomp, but it's happened with other clients) to multiple recipients, if they reply, everyone on the list sees it?

Sometimes I want to send the same picture to a bunch of people, but their replies shouldn't be visible to everyone, just me.

Isn't there a way to do a blind carbon copy to multiple recipients?

What do you mean by "everyone" sees it? You mean its on the same thread as everyone, or everyone actually receives it?

Are you sure they are seeing it or are you just presuming? Normally with sms only you see replies to texts sent out to b group...but android groups the replies in same thread for you.

You might need to enable the "separate threads for group messages" option.

That only changes the view for the OP though.

All I know is, when I send the same message to multiple recipients in the same outgoing message, whatever one replies to me, other people who received the original message tell me they got the reply as well.

I wonder if its a sort of network function. I've been sending group messages before and AFAIK, it doesn't work that way. At least in my country.

No...neither does mine nor have I heard of it. I've been all the way around the settings of my stock and market app and can't find anything that would replicate.

Have you tried clearing cache and data? And/or a factory reset (back up all data first!)?

Also be worth posting in forum for your phone to see if any one else has had similar?

Good idea. Didn't think it could be a phone specific issue, but I'll try that (Samsung Fascinate BTW)
