I am running MIUI right now and it is pretty good, but it is getting a little old. I was checking around for a new ROM and the only one I could find was Liquid Metal. It was an interesting ROM. I like that it was something different than the stock home screens and an app drawer. It just seemed less intuitive, like it was different just to be different with no real function for some of the changes.

I really like MIUI because it is a great alternative to the standard home screens and app. There were of few things i liked about liquid metal, but i could never use the ROM as a daily ROM.

I was wondering if there were other ROMs like MIUI that provide a functional alternative to the stock android interface.

honestly there is only 3 versions of android that you can put on the incredible... there is miui/ vanilla/ and sense... I like the evo-incredible hybrid roms for the speed and feel...

  5. I know you are looking for something different AND functional but it seems as though you have already found it. I really haven't found anything that meets those expectations other than MIUI and Liquid Metal.

I used MIUI on the D1 and was SUPER impressed by it. If I wasnt so in love with Sense (since i switched to the Inc.) I would still be using MIUI.

Sometimes you find something that just works

You are right. I like MIUI and it meets all of my needs. I guess i just wanted to change things up a little, but i need to get over that lol

nothing else i tried was as well put together and functional for me except MIUI

I am happy with it :)

sounds like best thing for you might be to make yourself use somethin else for a couple days... youll be glad to get back to your MIUI and hopefully the boredom with it will be gone ;)
