I think this should be simple enough but I haven't found a solution.

I would like to leave my Wi-Fi radio on. This way, the phone will automatically connect to certain access points (that I have previously connected to). However, there are certain access points that I would only like the phone to connect to if I elect to manually connect to them.

I can't seem to find this setting anywhere.

The only two options I have on access points once connected is to Forget network and Change password. I want it to remember those but only connect when I manually tell it to.

    Solutions?

i don't know that you can do this without using the stock or other toggle widget ie by turning the radio on or off.

there are however some items that may be able to schedule these functions like timerrific and there is another popular one but i do not recal what it is called now :(

i don't think they will work based of of detection though...simply a time schedule

I'm pretty sure you could make this happen with Tasker but that's a whole new learning curve.

I have Tasker and I agree that the learning curve is quite steep.
