Root is there a solution to latest swype betas not working?

So apparently since the new Sprint ROMs include swype, swype beta no longer works on the EVO unless I go back to a froyo ROM. However this version of swype that's available with mik g is horrendous. Any one know of a solution to this?

you can sign up for it with swype. and just use the swype updater to get the newest version. but swype has to send you the invite. just go to their website and sign up for it.

Thanks for trying to help but I've had swype for a long time now. I just switched roms and installed the latest beta on mikg. It doesn't work. Force close. Apparently this is a known issue but swype has no plans to fix it since Sprint packs swype with gingerbread. Sorry if I'm not clear. Long night.
