Is there a TV monitoring app that'll keep me up to date with new episodes?

There's a program that monitors torrents of your favorite shows and keeps you up to date called "ted" (ted: torrent episode downloader - downloads new episodes for your favorite TV Shows) but i was wondering if there's an app that'll do the same but remind me through notifications or automatically entered calendar entries with reminders.
