Help Is there a way to get apps to download to storage card and not on phone?

I dont want my memory to fill up with all the apps I download. Is there a way to have the apps download to the storage card? I'm assuming that the apps are whats taking up all of my RAM, right?

Applications that are currently running are what take up your RAM, regardless of which storage you install the app to.

I think Android 2.2 is supposed to give us the ability to install apps to the SD card instead of the main flash storage on the phone. This really only allows you to install more apps by using the extra space on the SD card.

What kind of problems are you experiencing to think that you're running into RAM limitations?

2.2 - does some apps to SD card BUT not all.... beleive me hence the Desire HD having 700 odd ram compared to the 400 of desire...
