    Hello...

Had an ODD occurrence the other day. Was looking at androidforums.com the other day on my Dolphin browser on my EVO and I could SWEAR that when I first got to the site there was a little popup that asked if I was interested in an androidforums.com app. I rarely, if ever, check the forum on my phone (use my computer instead) and clicked YES or OK. Nothing happened...no download (that I saw of??)...and no page to initiate a download.

My QUESTION. Has anyone else experienced this with their phone browser?? IS there an androidforums app?? If NOT, should I be CONCERNED about some sort of malicious attempt with my phone??

    Has ANYONE seen this before??

    THANKS!!

Have not seen this one before. Perhaps it was just a popup asking if you would be interested in one?

There is CURRENTLY a phandroid NEWS app that currently available on the market and there is also a androidforums app that is beta testing.

I don't think you have anything to worry about but better safe than sorry.

Moved this to suggestion/feedback forum so that the admins/owner can chime in as they see fit. :)

Maybe it was that...I clicked OK real quick because I would WANT to download one and WOULD BE interested so "OK" would have worked in both circumstances.

Gonna run a scan just in case...but, now that you mention, it acted more like a poll rather than a download. I noticed NO download or install process afterwards.

    Thanks...

    Hopefully that's all it was.

As far as the app goes, the owner has expressed that he is hoping and expecting that the AF app enter public beta in the next few weeks.

If there is such a pop-up - I'm unaware of it's existence. Will ask.

Hmmm...now I'm wondering what I saw/did...not too too concerned but SOMETHING popped up. I'm not sure if I had signed in to the forums yet or was about to and saw this little "popup" (about the size of a 2x1 widget) as me about an androidforums app...??:thinking:

    Thanks for all the help...
