I love sharing "steam" my media content in my household. I have a D-LINK DSM-510 to steam videos (movies), photos, and music to my TV. Is there an app for andriod that acts the same way as my D-LINK media player that I can do the same with my Google G1 android mobile phone, or any other type of android phones, I know mine is old and outdated.

Umm, I'm pretty sure you mean STREAM, not steam...

And yes, there are a few software you can use, namely Orb.

I just check Orb website, and it nothing like streaming videos and music from your pc to your mobile device. The only thing it can do on my phone is that it acts like a remote control.

Yes, the app is 10 bucks. But, you dont have to use it with orb. You can go to your browser, and type in mycast.orb.com, and login through there. That will do everything the app can do, and its free.

When I still had my G1 I was using an App called Gmote for that. It would work over the WiFi and I could stream media from the PC to the phone or use the App as a remote control for the computer. I'm not sure if Gmote is still available in the market or not.

that only works if you are at home and on your own wifi network. Orb works anywhere you have 3g or wifi.

I couldn't get GMOTE to stream my videos, I was able to use it as a remote control with no problem. OrbLive is cool. I love the idea of streaming my TV also to my phone! I haven't tried it yet cause the TV USB device I have is pretty old. Keep your fingers cross!
