Just wondering - you know you have pay as you go for mobile phones ,is there anything similar that you buy for an android tablet to buy movies etc. Rather than use my credit card i'd rather if i could buy my son credit and it would be great for others to buy as presents? Am i raving?

I heard you can get a visa giftcard, and then register it with their website, then you can use it in the market... Haven't tried it, but read about it somewhere....

If you want to control how much your son is spending you would be better getting a pre paid Mastercard/Visa, you load how much money you want on there and only that money can be spent(no more) Wouldn't be much use for giving to people as a present though, and I don’t think there's currently a way of buying credit(like a gift card)

Edit: Just seen the post above, never heard of Visa giftcards, might be a good shout though.

Visa gift cards are like prepaid visa or mastercards, but come in pre determined amounts, so they would be fine for gift giving

Some carriers allow direct billing, where the apps bought will be deducted from mobile credit. No need for this kind of billing I think.
