Help Is this a Gmail bug?

Hi there,

My S2 (KK5) has been behaving really oddly this week.

A few times I've heard my email notification go off but there has been nothing in the status bar. Then, I've looked in my Gmail inbox to see I do have a new message but it shows up as read - almost as though I or someone else has checked it immediately already on a computer..

It's most odd and only happens now and again but I worry about missing an important email.

I'm using the Gmail app, have never had this problem before and haven't got my email open anywhere else.

Anyone else experienced this and if so, how did you fix it?

Not had the problem but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the market? Seems to fix most issues. Android equivalent of turn it off and on again

You cant do that with the built in gmail app on the s2

ahh you not rooted then i assume. In which case i dont know
