Is this Malware?

Hi All:

Quick question: have you ever seen something like this? A software update that does not say what's the app or operating system to be updated and who is the publisher?

When I click the back arrow to the left of "Software Update", there isn't any other user interface. I am simply sent to the home page of my cell.

Is there any way to completely remove this package? From where?

Welcome to the site!

This looks like a standard Android patch, probably minor security/functionality updates. These are always a little cryptic about what they deliver. Depending on your carrier, you may be forced to install this eventually.

Long story short: looks safe to me.

I found the update through "system settings< about phone<system update".

Which is how system updates are delivered. If anyone could post malware through that then either they already own your phone or they already own LG .
