Anyone on here work for HTC or Samsung that can confirm or deny this?

"...reason for the shortage is that Samsung manufactures the Screens for HTC, but since Samsung has the GALAXY coming out, they basically told HTC to go **** themselves. Now HTC is trying to find another company to manufacture the parts."

Much of what I've read so far from the media states that Samsung decided to withold their supply of AMOLED screens for the Galaxy S...and the outcome has been affecting the amount of Incredibles/Evo's being made...but can't totally put 100% of my faith into the media these days..

HTC's solution has been to switch to TFT screens made by Sony.

Well not really, because no supplier agreement is without a contract spelling out how many units they are buying and in what time frame.
