Root Is unrevoked the only way?

    No. There are other ways though Unrevoked seems to be the simplest(in my eyes). If you are asking about rooting the new hboot, they have not yet found the exploit to allow us to root it.

    Z4root gives temporary root until you reboot your phone.
    Auto Root(available on XDA) is another rooting option that I believe is permanent like Unrevoked.

    i kinda wished that i rooted using autoroot. first it gives you amon ra and you get the sprint lover's rom with all the bloatware removed. it seems just as easy.

    Thanks, I just wanted to explore all my options since I seem to have a bit of time before I can root this thing now :D

    I tried unsuccessfully with Unrevoked and never got root:(

    Did a little research about Auto-Root and I was rooted in 40 minutes:D with everything backed up and running amon ra v2.3 recovery
