Is your US Galaxy S3 made in China or Made in Korea?
China, 16gb blue and on Sprint.
the 16g white model and 32g blue is made in China.
Only the 16g blue in made in korea..
China 16gb White Marble.
International - Made in Korea.
Source? Which carriers?
Mine is 16 gig blue and it says made in china
Easy way is to check on back of battery and you'll know where it's made or where it's assembled.
mine is international blue 16g..
I havent got mine but im pretty sure is marble white 32 made in puerto rico? i think
Korea, 16gb blue, international.
Titian: Moon of Saturn, Blue 16GB, USA T-Mobile
I heard that if/when possible it is better to pursue the Made in Korea.
Does it REALLY make a difference?
I am picking my S3 up on Wednesday when it FINALLY releases here in Canada so was wondering if I should be asking them to check the backs of these phones till I get one from Korea or if it honestly does not matter haha.
Mine says Cell made in Korea Assembled in China
It doesn't matter. I'm sure the split is just to have separate factories to try to keep up with demand.
Portable Electronic decices such as iPhones and Android phones are always a trade off of bug sets and feature sets.
I have had my Galaxy S3 since last Friday and it is my third Android phone.
There are some things I don't like about the Samsung Parts, there are some things I don't like about the Ire Cream Parts.
What I really recommend you do is go play with one in a store. Study the specs and the carrier stuff (3G vs. 4G). Make a list of good things. Make a last of bad things for each phone you are considering.
The phone with the longest positives and shortest negatives will probably suit you well.
Which is better? China or Korea?
Mine says "Made in North Korea"..
On my battery it says made in Japan, assembled in China.
That just means the battery was made in Japan, assembled in China. Look UNDER the battery or on the box. Mine is 16gb blue, Cricket, made in China.
Doubt it makes much difference, but if I had a choice I would pick one from Korea, since Samsung is based there. Probably can keep a closer eye on quality control that way.
16gb Blue ATT Made in China
Is there any trick to get informed about the "made in" info without opening the back cover?
You can look at the label on the box, but the back cover does just come right off.
Is there anything in the software to identify this thing? For HTC phone if device serial prefix is SH, the device is made in China. ST prefix it is made by Taiwan. I'm looking for such info.
Made in Korea by Samsung
