Issues moving files

So i have a Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx on 4.1.2. Using the built in file manager, i moved a folder full of media from my internal storage to my sd card. The problem is the space (about 4GB) has not cleared up and the folder and files are nowhere to be found on the internal storage. Its as if its stuck in some kind of cache. Any ideas?

Have you rebooted the phone since you moved the files?

I have rebooted. At first i just did a power off and back on. Then i did a hard reset. I xidnt think about hookin it up to a pc and browsing the files there. I will try that next.
