Issues w/e-mail

I am new to the group and hae owned my Facinate for about six weeks. Recently, I have been having issues with receipt of e-mail. I have it set to retrieve every 30 minutes, but often go all day without receiving any at all. Don't know what has happened (probably going on about 2 weeks), as it worked just fine when I first set it up. Same with Calendar appointments that I add to the phone....don't sync up to gmail.

By chance do you have WiFi set up on the phone? If so is it possible that maybe you accidently set the phone to sync by WiFi only?
