Help Issues with phone sending random texts that i've transfered

Just got my phone today, was transfering data from my old phone (blackberry curve 8520) using the transfer option. Just suddenly noticed, that it wants to send all of the messages that I have copied over to the people i recieved them from. Now I was thinking about just formatting phone, but was wondering if there are any settings to stop que'd messages from being sent? or any other options than wiping my phone. Cheers for any help

I just turned on airplane mode and ended up deleting them all

Yup I just took sim out and deleted them all, some information that I need to get from a couple of the messages, so i'm just going to send them to another phone and then transfer to this phone, long way around, such a simple issue >.<
