After numerous times of dropping my phone (accidently) it had finally had enough.

Luckily I have insurance so my new one will be here tomorrow.

Well, that's not bad considering both my kids broke their Itouches the first time it dropped. Sucks but it looks like it will still work until your able to get another one.

does it still work? I'm so dreading this moment! Was actually wondering if Verizon replaces w/ a cracked screen if the phone still works. Thank god for insurance.

Yes it still works. Although using swype kinda feels like you may get a sliver in glass in your finger, so I just type.

My ins deductible was $89. I could have gone with a third party cell phone repair place, but they quoted me $130 for screen replacement.

I thought Gorilla Glass would not break like that.

I roll with a TPU also but a screen protector would really help on a direct hit to the glass. I had a SP and removed it after 6 months when a bubble appeared- I liked the look without the SP so much that I am now naked on the glass. The SP was high quality too- about $7, not a 50 cent POC from ebay.

If it didnt have Gorilla Glass, it would have been much worse. And also notice that his phone still works even though its cracked. Normally a phone without gorilla glass would shatter completely and slice your fingers. :p

Did the outside glass break or the glass under the gorilla glass?
