Root It seems Froyo roms are becomming extinct

It seems I may need to get learned on fixing the small bugs associated with Gingerbread. My observation leads me to believe that just about all the devs are moving over to 2.3. :eek:

I'm not particularly attached to sense because I use LP, just had a few nightmares with trying out the GB roms early on, and I'm gun shy now. Plus all of my work with themeing so far has been on Kings Froyo builds.

I'm wondering if I should just wave the white flag and give up on Froyo already? I'd have to start from scratch with my custom theme, but that might not be a bad thing.

I'm still learning the ropes, and my skills are akin to stabbing in the dark!

Yeah it is looking that way, but at least the majority of the 2.2 roms I've used have been pretty awesome. So we can assume that the 2.3 roms will continue to improve with added attention.

Jamie dropped a cool froyo rom and im ready for es4 from koni. They are still viable daily drivers. At least until official gb comes out

i was the same way.....but after doing the fixes once and getting in your head it becomes easy.. and now they have a flashable fix for vvm

I absolutely loved AOSP Gingerbread on my Hero, but it's a different beast with the evo. What the hell, I'm still using Kings unleashed R2 as my daily. It's a dinosaur considering, but for some reason I love the way it runs on my piece. With Toastmod 4.3.1 CFS HAVS nosbc, it can't be beat! 25-30 hours moderate usage.

I'll learn themeing with Froyo then I'll dive into GB. Hopefully we have an official 2.3 release by then! (snickers under his breath)

yeah i know i love kings gb r2. i kind of wish i still had my nandroid backup of it. i used to have it on my laptop until it decided to crap out on me.

all i have to say is thank god for black tie protection from best buy.

not sure where r2 went as i can only find his last two most recent releases.

I have copies of all his releases if you want any of em. Just give me a shout, I'll shoot over a copy. I also have just about every official theme too.

and damn kings and all of there crazy names for their roms. it can get confusing. lol if somebody has the gb r2 of kings please let me know. i really liked that rom. im ok with his gb r3 but the green is annoying.

A lot of Roms have went gingerbread bit I'm still waiting for a nice gingerbread rom that still has sense UI. I'm currently running fresh 3.5 and its getting kind a stale. His current gingerbread sense offering is still buggy and doesnt have the great customizations he has in my current rom. Can anyone name a good gingerbread/sense ROM?

Thanks! Been trying to find this without a computer for the last week. Just got my new one yesterday and this was just in time.

Last one fried the motherboard.....not worth buying a motherboard for a 6 year old laptop so upgrade I did. Just trying to get it set up again
