1st time poster...I use Motorola too and it works fine. Tried the updated Songbird last night and it seems good so far. Syncs playlists to Droid.
I'm not quite sure why there aren't just a ton of posts for Songbird! This is a Mozilla project which many label the iTunes killer...and rightfully so!
This player kicks with auto lyric downloads, artist info, plugins for concerts that can be filtered to just artists in your library, etc. This pretty much beats every other player that people have been trying with the Droid. It will pull in changes from iTunes and replicate changes back to iTunes (if you decide to even keep iTunes after using Songbird).
I have found two flaws that I'm trying to resolve:
1) The Droid profile they have doesn't have m4a files listed as valid to be used on the Droid and sends them to the Droid as an OGG file. This looks really easy to fix by editing a SBsettings.xml file on the Droid's SD card root directory but I'd like to see them fix their Droid spec.
2) The Droid profile also looks to be slightly off on playlists. The playlists show in the music player but when you open them to play they don't show any songs. I also don't see the m3u files on the SD card anywhere so I'm wondering how the player picks up the playlists to begin with.
Other than these two items, it syncs the music flawlessly and the app itself on the PC is simply OUTSTANDING! Not too busy of an interface like MediaMonkey, far beyond doubleTwist and iTunes (iTunes only from a music perspective, there is no podcasts in Songbird), more feature rich than the Moto tool, etc. For music, this app is the real deal.
