...I mean really sucks as in it's not even close. The N2 camera is simply better in every respect. I did side by side shots with and without flash and in bright light and limited light. In all instances the N2 was markedly better.

Less grain in limited lighting conditions without flash.

Far better color saturation and contrast. Colors on the DNA camera look beached and washed out under all shooting conditions.

    About equal in detail resolution.

Flash performance was markedly better than the DNA with the DNA flash blowing out highlights and ruining color accuracy.

White balance under incandescent lighting was far, far better in the N2 with the DNA causing whites to look decidedly yellow with White Balance set to Auto. Shockingly, when set to Incandescent things got no better with the DNA. A really, really horrible showing for the DNA here. A $10 POS digital camera does a better job. Just shocking.

Special effects on the N2, again, are much better than on the DNA and offer more flexibility and fun. Admittedly, these won't be used much but they do seem to be better integrated and more varied than those found in the DNA.

The only area where I'd give the nod to the DNA is in the fact that we have our zoom bar right on the screen at all times, making zooming and framing very easy and intuitive. The N2 makes you first hit the volume rocker while in camera mode to get the zoom bar up on the screen. And then the place it on the left which is not as ergonomically 'correct' as placing it on the right side of the screen (IMO).

HTC should really be ashamed of itself to equip this phone with such an incredibly sub-par camera.:mad::mad:

You have been going back and forth with the Note II for a bit now. And yours is the first "review" that says the DNA camera is POS. So I guess you got a lemon.

Also, not that it should matter, but peoples insistence to compare the Note II and the DNA together is beyond mind boggling. They are two different classes of phone and you should be comparing the SG3 to the DNA; not the Note II.

Yeah, I don't mind reading comparisons, I actually like hearing about other cell phones, and how they compare to each other.

Razr Maxx has MUCH better battery life then the DNA. SGS3 provides replaceable battery and microSD slot, lacking in the DNA. I get it.

The Note2, however, in my opinion, is so ridiculously large and over-sized, that perhaps you should be comparing it's photographic abilities to an Apple iPad mini, or some other small tablet device.

Also, perhaps you should post some photos from each device, in similar conditions.

I've taken photos with the DNA that I'm more then satisfied with, especially for a camera that takes no extra effort for me to bring along! Does it take macro photography in low light conditions? NOPE.

For MY NEEDS..... I'll take the DNA's size and portability, which I do all day, over the benefit's of the Note2's camera, a feature I use occasionally.

But that's me. Others, obviously will disagree.

Let's see some comparison shots, though, rather then simply your opinion. As others have said, the DNA has received fairly high praise for it's camera, from professionals, who review cellphones (I don't, and don't claim to)

From my day to day use, as an average user, I've been very pleased in how photos have turned out, the shutter speed, and other features I've played with on the DNA. However, the camera on the Note2 certainly may blow away the camera on the DNA, but for ME, the Note2 isn't even under consideration.

Saying that HTC should be ashamed of the camera on the DNA sounds a little bit over the top.
