hello again, im sure there have been a lot of questions asked about this as there is a lot on the net but nothing really conclusive

i dislike apple because of their many restrictions and market dominance,i thought i had thwarted them again by buying an android tab (motorola xoom FE) which runs adobe flash player..or so i thought

i can watch things on you tube but certain files i upload to facebook from my htc phone will not play, it says i need flash 10 or above which i thought have:thinking:

net based games also say to enable java script which i have but they still wont play....it is now my understanding android does not support java.

so i neither have or can get adobe flash or java??

what i really want to be able to play is mathletics as i bought it for my child who really wanted it for this reason

please can anyone help or advise

Adobe is no longer supporting flash for any mobile devices, not just Android, and so it is no longer is available in the Play store. However, the Flash11 .apk package is still downloadable from the Adobe website for manual installation.

Android runs JavaScript just fine, but no mobile OS runs real Java, aka Java JRE (Java Runtime Environment).

So what does that mean? I cannot play java games like mathletics no matter what? I will try flash11 from their site....thanks a lot

Edit....searched the site but cannot find it. Sorry but a link would be great...I did try

A simple Google search quickly found this for flash 11.1:

As I said, Android supports *Javascript* but no mobile OS supports a full JRE for Java. What game(s) do you want to play and where did you get it?

the main game i wanted to play is mathletics. there is an app for ipad but nothing for android, i prob should say im running ICS

MATE YOUR A LEGEND

i googled 11.1 on the pad, found it on another forum, installed and mathletics works. obviously dosnt need java although it said it did it has worked with the latest flash. thank you very much
