Help JB to ICS for USB warranty repair

For the past few weeks I've been running the unofficail JB firmware on my S2 and its been fine. Now my phone has started to be a little odd (believe this is due to the USB issue) so Samsung are going to repair my phone.

But I'd like to flash this to the ICS from my provider if possible bofore sending it back. Any ideas on how to get the Orange UK ICS on?

*btw the USB thing is when I turn off it keeps restarting to the charging symbol even when not connected. Only way to turn it back on is to plug in and power on.

You will need to download, from SamMobile, and flash via Odin, your original stock Samsung firmware, for your original CSC code. Hopefully, you know that code. Flashing it is just a repeat of the steps that you used to upgrade to ICS.

If you are sending it in for repair I would back up everything and just Factory reset your phone and format your Internal Memory before flashing as Samsung will probably wipe it anyway after the repair.

As for you USB problem, you could try using an old, dry, clean, toothbrush to carefully clean out the USB port and then, with a magnifying glass, check that none of the pins are misaligned.

Cheers for that.

When I upgraded to JB i had to use Odin. Still have that 3.07

But i had to added the PDA, Phone and the CSC

Only thing I have from SamFirmware is the I9100BVLPH_I9100ORALPH_ORA firmware. Do I need the other two parts or do I just use that and then get kies to fix the rest. Not bothered about losing stuff on the phone as I've backed up or used the net.

Firmware from samfirmware contains the pda, phone and csc all in one so just put the firmware .tar in pda and it will change them all.

You can use the instructions and video under, "My firmware is not eligible for ICS yet but I want it now!", in post #1, here.
