Root Jelly/ gps

Hi,
Have tried several Jellytime and Codefire JB roms but not
found one where my GPS works.
Any recommendations?

Sure about that's not the DHD problem of the GPS antenna contacts?

the typical fix for non working gps on AOSP roms is to fire up a stock rom,then get a solid lock on as many satelites as possible. i personally use an app called gps status,wich will show you how many satelites youve connected to,and let you download "A-GPS" data,wich helps the satelite lock as well.

some folks simply get their location accurate to 1-3 meters in maps,and say that works as well.

after you have gps working on a stockish rom,just boot to recovery and restore or flash your AOSP rom.

it sounds crazy,but it works.

ive found that pretty much as long as you have gps working on a rom,it will work on the next one that you flash.

if that doesnt work,you could have hardware prollems,as mentioned above.

Daily I'm using Revolution HD4g7.3 and have no probs locks on
up to 10 sats on GPS status.
I've not tried the restore backup method, so thats got to be
next move.

Well , went back to Revolution7.3 started GPS status, got 8/8 sats.
Went straight to 4ext recovery did a factory reset/wipe, installed
a previous codefirex nightly and Gapps.
Downloaded GPS status from Play again, started it up and ******

8/8 sats :five:

Another tip that I found was to edit the GPS.conf file so that it locks onto satellites closer to you - mine was defaulted to Asia and a few roms use America too.
I'll try to get a link by tomorrow otherwise you'll be able to find it on XDA
