The seventh ring
I was somewhat surprised to find PC Companion offering me the latest firmware, as I was on a generic UK firmware and the UK seems to be well behind when it comes to updates.

Anyways, I installed it, used SuperOneClick1.6.5 to root, set up BusyBox, Titanium Backup and xRecovery. I installed JIT v2, Quadrant and ResMods Dark v1.8, all good.

However, the Quadrant scores seems to be a bit down on previous similar set up with firmware 2.0.A.0.504. On that ROM, with a similar config, I was getting over 800 on Quadrant, now the best I've seen is 769.

Anyone else see a similar performance drop? It is still better than standard of course, without JIT v2, I was gettingunder 500!

Cheers,

CHeers guys, thought it was just me.

Overall, 435 is much better, with both TimeScape and MediaScape being major improvements, but the multi touch or dual touch is not really all that!

Battery life is vastly better for me though, as I had to take extreme measures to get decent battery life on the previous ROM, even with the performance enhancements.

It's a bit sad to say, but now, with its end in sight, the X10i is a very good phone!
