I have always thought it's worked, at least a little.
I am going to check this out now.

There are more features now that may be worth my money for ultimate. I have to read on them.
My phone already has averaged 1.88 to 2.07 on the widget multiplier, if it gets larger than that, then it's working. Otherwise I have to notice on my own. Grr

If it works properly, in the paid version you can have JD turn off 3G as well when enabled. I bought it, yeah yeah. This may be nice because it will prevent the phone from searching for 3G if reception isn't great.
I have it from 100% and let's see what it does.

****Just remember, DISABLE JD before uninstalling to prevent issues with 3G/APN being disabled****

This is a possibility and I just read that someone's APN is broken after an uninstall - so I thought I would share.

Does turning off 3G and data effect getting text messages and emails instantly?

text messages are not run through 3G but through 1X as its known on verizon phones. so the answer is no, you will still get them. as for emails i am not sure.

I recalibrated my BatteryLeft and installed the newest JD at the same time earlier, and everything is a little screwy - I think I need to give it a day.

edit - also jumped the gun and am now trying a jdlfg kernel, so we shall see.

For those wondering about email delays.
I sent a test email and waited for 5 minutes - there was no email notification.
I unlocked the phone and there was no notification. About 10 seconds after unlocking, the email came through.

There is a "peak" setting where you can set peak hours in which you need data all the time and it will disable the data feature during those hours.

Yea according to that discussion it looks like it should be easier to make it work on the 2.2 roms as there is now an option to turn of data in the settings...

Ok I think we found a workaround in that same thread... It will require that you have a Nandroid of your CM rom (or you could just flash CM and then install JD I guess but the Nandroid would be easier ;) ) and Titanium Backup... Flash your CM Nandroid (after you do a Nandroid of your 2.2 rom of course) with the working JD and make sure you do a TiBu back up of the Juice Defender CM helper, then flash back to your 2.2 nandroid and restore the JD CM helper app plus data... When you do setup it should skip the CM Help install because you already have it... :)

I have the CM backed up with TiBu already, so score.
I reinstalled the latest JD 159 and did the auto setup with NexFro? and it works and tests properly.
I didn't restore the CM, didn't need to for some reason.

It's working for me now, but I always love an update.
I am glad someone else is a fanboy of this - I felt alone in the past.

1.6.7 beta is actually in the market now. Downloaded and installed fine on my Droid (Fab's themed BB Froyo)...got stuck at the final install screen w/the Continue button, just pressed Home to exit and restarted and enabled it. Haven't seen any issues with it yet, only had it on for an hour or so, using default settings.

OK, I'm jumping on the JD bandwagon! (Not Jack Daniels! That stuff blows! :p ) We'll see if this thing does anything for me.
