I know this phone is an older model but my budget is limited. Being a fan of the EVO 4G, I wanted an HTC/Tmobile/Dual core phone that is rootable. I (or my wife) will be using this and the other will use the GNex.

Any suggestions on this phone? (ROMs, accessories, etc)

You can have any questions answered here for your Amaze in rooting, but if rooting is the thing your into Galaxy Nexus has way more Rom's than the Amaze, the Amaze has a good following but compared to the 2011 developers choice, it's a no brainer.

Ive had my Amaze stock since I bought it, rooted but stock.

It won't be a GNex vs Amaze type of thing as I know what i have with the GNex.
I'm "Into" rooting but I don't flash as much as I did for my EVO 4G. My Gnex is pretty much a stock experience. I want a dual core, TMobile phone that either of us can use. We will decide who gets what once I get the Amaze. Another GNex was not financially possible so I went with what I thought was the next best at a lower price. She loves her EVO 4g but Boost data is horrible. We're both used to the HTC experience

Ok: there are many roms being worked on now.
But if i were to recommend one it would be EnergyRom Stock Theme, because youll have the stock look but with many mods incorporated.

But if you want the feeling of the GNEX on the Amaze id go with CM10

The kernel i would use would be Faux's kernel

^^Could only be used on ICS sense roms. Not Jellybean.

A pretty useful accesory would be the power-skin, but different users have different opinions over whether its good or not.
An Anker battery could be useful, but it all depends on what your willing to spend.

A good case would be the Trident Kraken AMS (I have one and its great)
    - Just like an otterbox type case.

Was thinking of trying one of those but love sense to much. Especially ViperRom Beta.

Not a bad phone if you have a limited budget as you mentioned. Check out for the best deal before you buy. :)
