I was searching for information about using my Fascinate as a GPS in France, and came across a useful thread, so joined and saved URL for future use. I am headed to France for a month, and plan to use my phone for language pgms and GPS. Nice forum. thanks

I'd check into exactly how you plan on using the phone as a GPS. It will work fine in France, but if you have a data plan from somewhere else, you could get hit with a huge bill for international data use. The GPS antenna doesn't use any data, but to get the maps it will. You might consider using a GPS app that stores the maps on your phone.
