Just received update to LS720ZV8 (VM)

    I am on Virgin Mobile and I just got updated a moment ago to LS720ZV8. Just a heads up to all.

    My wife did the update while she was at work and now her phone is dead. It was rooted, but not ROM'd and now nothing works. I can't wait till she gets home for me to try and fix it. Recoveries do not work on her phone at all, there's no way to enter them so I don't have any backups.

    Have you looked at the motox the first gen its a tad bigger and the price is going down fast cause the second generation is out with a bigger screen/over all phone. On ebay you can get one for around $200 or lower new. Im waiting till the price goes to the 100$ range before I retire my F3.

    Im not sure but if VM phones use a sim card you mabe in Luck ...

    VM is CDMA, MetroPCS and T-mobile are GSM. Totally different networks.

    Wish I had read this thread before I had installed it. Now my phone is unrooted and will not re-root :(

    I did a custom update to v8 avoiding changes to aboot and the boot image so I could retain my OC kernel and then was able to reroot using motochopper.
