Hey, just joined the forum. I've been wandering around here for a few weeks getting info and researching. I finally took the leap and rooted my Wildfire S last night with no known issues. Thanks Cafe (I clicked thanks). There is some very helpful info here. Now I am researching and making sure everything is in place before I install a custom ROM. I have already backed up my stock ROM. Right now my phone is running 2.3.5 and Sense 2.1. Basically it's as if nothing has changed which is fine for now. I guess first of all, I need to be sure if my phone is Marvel or Marvelc. I'm in the US on T-Mobile and when I boot into the bootloader it says: *** UNLOCKED *** MARVEL PVT SHIP S-ON RL HBOOT-1.09.0099 MICROP-0354 RADIO-7.53.39.03M Feb 8 2012,18:29:31 Is this how I know my phone is Marvel and not Marvelc? I just want to be sure. Next.... I want to install the latest STABLE version of Android that I can. Probably Ice Cream Sandwich. Is there a stable and virtually bug free version of CyanogenMod 9 (I think that's the one)? Also, how easy is it to revert back to the stock ROM (2.3.5 & Sense 2.1) that I have backed up through clockworkmod? Thanks.
