What up guys. I am kinda a noob rooter (only did it on my DX through the 1-click app and then it was stolen shortly afterwards, so I didn't get to do too much with it). I rooted my TB yesterday and now I want to flash the Das BAMF Remix 1.5 as my ROM. I also see that a new RUU was released. Do I put both of these on my phones? How do I go about putting both of these on my phones? I'm sorry, there are so many threads in this subforum that I get lost and confused in the mess of it all.

Did the same thing today and have the exact same questions. Especially when it comes to clearing cache/ devlik cache etc.

Any explanation and advice would be awesome and greatly appreciated as this is my first root and first android device.

    Thanks!

    Coarse instructions:

First flash the radio (is a psxxx something named zip, 12 megs in size)
Vol down + power from an off state to get to hboot.
When it asks to update, say yes.

Start back up, delete the radio zipfile
boot back up in recovery, wipe, flash rom

You need not flash the RUU, just the radio and the rom.

Ok so just to make sure I understand right...

First, I put the PG05IMG.zip radio file on to the SD Card. Vol Down + power to go into HBoot and update it. Once that is done, turn the phone on, go into Astro, and delete the PG05IMF.zip file.

Then I boot into recovery (how do I do that??), wipe (I assume this is the cache/dalvik wipe??)...turn the phone on, install Das BAMF 1.5 Remix on to the SD Card, and go into HBoot...then what?

    First step is correct.
make sure you put the rom zip on your sdcard too.

Reboot into recovery via clockwork or vol down + power
    You will be in hboot..
vol down to highlight recovery, push power
You should be in clockwork recovery at this point.
    wipe data
install zip from sdcard, chooze zip.. pick das bamf zip and let it rip.

    Reboot... enjoy :)

there are youtube videos of this but I am at work atm... can't really find one but if someone would be so kind.. :D

Ok thanks man. Stuck already, unfortunately. I went to move the PG05IMG.zip into my SD Card, but there is already a .zip file there of the same name...I definitely didn't put this one there yet. Is this the old radio or something? What do I do with it?

I would get rid of both of those zip files and put just the radio back, so your sure about what you have.
You might have on there an old zip from the rooting and unlocking of the bootloader.

that video showed the basics, but for some reason she turned usb debugging off  she also didnt to any wipes,so i wouldnt follow it to a T ;)

i dont know for sure that it even worked,as when it came up it wasnt the lockscreen that my das bamf uses ;)

leave usb debugging on,and unless youre doing an "update" wipe data/cache/dalvic

How do people choose which ROM they want to flash? are there explainations or screen shots of the differences?

Yep, I noticed that she didn't do any wipes...before I watched the video I had read this thread: ***HOW TO*** Flash Roms on the THUNDERBOLT - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

Mainly followed those instructions. Just watched the video so I knew what I was doing was mainly correct because I could see it.
