Help just some info

I recently bought a Zio and my carrier is cricket they have an older Android OS 1.6 Is there a way to see what my internal memory is that runs on the phone and can i change it using my sd card as in lettting some memory from my SD card run apps to keep my phone running smoother. sometimes the phone lags a bit than catches up. I used advanced task killer and I have only been able to free it to about 30 to 45 but than it gets bogged down again to about 28 and under. thanks for any help
