Ahh i love it it works so much better then my eris!
Like going from a Yugo to a BMW...
yeah i switcher maybe a week and a half ago from my eris and the speed improvements are incredible compared to a non-overclocked eris (i overclocked my eris so it was so-so)
That was so well said! Im actually still laughing at that comment.
OP--Congrats on the HUGE upgrade. Now you can really enjoy Android
I made the same switch, last week. I went from headaches to grins.
And no more crappy tech support and a company that doesn't believe it has an obligation to fix functions it breaks. Bye HTC...you won't see me again, I promise.
I miss my eris lol I lost my eris at six flags. and god me a droid 2. maybe I should buy me another from craigslist.
What dont ya like bout the droid 2?
O_O Why in the world would you want to go back to an Eris?
The D2 is noticeably faster, it doesn't suffer from a crapload of problems, and Motorola's support is pretty amazing.
just miss it no idea why lol its kinda funny.
Ill trade you my Eris for your Droid 2. It's in excellent condition.
I just got my D2 yesterday as a replacement for my Eris.
In the same boat! I hated my eris. I can't believe how much of an improvement the Droid 2 is compared to the eris.
Stock for Stock there is no comparison. Rooted Eris to Stock D2 is much closer but the D2 still wins.
Any of you consider the D Incredible befor the D2 going from Eris? I am dumping my Eris after 4 months of misery...undecided Dinc or D2...
I wanted a physical keyboard so the Inc was out. If I had not waned a physical keyboard I would have really been looking at the Inc.
Yeah I did. After how terrible I thought the eris was I decided that I didn't want to have to deal with anything from htc again. Also, I was concerned that since htc sense is so intensive that it might get in the way of future updates. I think that moto's ui is way less in the way of android and it would be easier to get updates.
I didn't--HTC doesn't fully support their devices, and when they decide to "help," their support personnel are inept. So they make shoddy products and don't adequately help users overcome the problems that inevitably arise.
Don't like that they turned a good function into a nuisance? Get a 3rd party app. Don't like that the nuisance function also prevents friends from getting MMS? Obviously my friends' phones are too old and they should upgrade. Support responses like these have guaranteed I'll never consider another HTC product again: they're a bad company, and there's a reason they have a D- rating on the BBB.
The DInc has some incredible...heh...issues already.

HTC doesn't know what they're doing.
Week 2 after my switch from Eris, loving life!!
I went from an Eris to a Droid 2 today to. Soooo happy I did
I just got my wife and Incredible, she loves it. Its a very quick little phone.
I am supposed to be getting my D2 today or tomorrow, store out of stock. I have an eris and I regret it from the moment I got it. Miss the blackberry physical keyboard and the eris is so terribly slow. Im looking forward to it.
droid2 is what i always imagined a smart phone should be.
I can't believe the amount of people on here that switched these two exact phones!
D2 is definitely where it's at!
went thru my original eris and 3 replacement phones and finally they did my last warrenty exchange for the d2 even though its a certified like new i am beyond happy =]
