please tell me if this sounds correct or if there is anything else i need to do, i went from dd03 w/joeys recovery rooted to de03.
-i did a backup of my apps in joeys recovery
    -installed de03 w/joeys 2.1.3
    -installed rootV7
    -restored via joeys recovery
-some paid apps did not show up at first, took a few hours
done everything seems to be working fine, because of the data restore the phone looks the same but seems to run smoother
thanks in advance for the input

sounds fine the only thing i would have done was put joeys 3.0.8 instead of 2.1.3

sounds good, now all you have left to do is flash joeykrims kernel v2.0.1 and enjoy the newfound speed and battery life!

    [Kernel - DE03] joeykrim-SDX - v2.0.1!!! - May 21st 2010

and recovery 3.0.8 has more options as far flashing zImages (kernels), logo.png, mounting the sd card through recovery, etc...

to go back to complete stock 2.1 you will need to reflash using the swupdater.

True but he is only looking for the stock gallery, which I have an apk for... I`m on my phone right now, so if you want, just pm me your email and I`ll send it over if I can... its also very likely the file is already linked somewhere on sdx...

quick question since you guys look like you know wat ur talking about...

when installing joeys new kernel from the link you provided,
the only directions i would have to follow are the

    Directions- Update.zip

    right?

im already on joeys 2.1 root/recovery/custom sdx from

[HOW TO] DE03 - Instructions for Flash, Recovery, Root, Custom Patch

thank you in advance for your help

so, 3 different files were the camera app? I sent you an email on where to remove the gallery.apk from... I'm thinking after you remove that, and then install it, you should be good... I want to say the gallery is party of the camera, but not 100% sure...

so, I figured it out... you have to "adb push" the gallery.apk to /system/app/

just did this to my phone to put it back on there, and the old gallery works again... if you want, I can guide you through it...
