    Hi there

I have this app installed and I love it but is there any way to disable the LED notification altogether so I just rely upon the status bar notifications to show me I have new mail ? My inboxes are pretty busy at the moment so my LED is flashing green the vast majority of the time and I'm a bit concerned that this could be a battery drain.

If you long press on the account and then select "Account Settings" -> then "Notifications" it's right there "Blink LED

Where do you see that please Steven as I have no such animal?
To assist my account setting options are as follows:-

    Account name
    Default account
    Number of messages to display
    Account color
    Notification LED color
    Scroll navigation buttons
    Enable move buttons
    Scroll move buttons
    Enable pictures automatically
    Folder poll check frequency
    Sync messages from
    Automatically download messages to
    Folders to check with poll
    Folders to check with push
    When I delete a message
    Expunge messages
    Sync remote deletions
    Incoming server
    Auto expand folder
    Folders to display
    Move/copy destination folder
    Folders to search
    Composition defaults
    Manage identifies
    Outgoing server
    Quote prefix
    Open PGP provider
    New mail notifications
    Notify for mail I sent
    New mail ringtone
    Vibrate patterns
    Number of vibrates
    Sync notifications
    Notification opens unread messages

There is nothing relevant in the global settings either.
The version of K9 I am using is 2.913-105 as downloaded from the market a couple of days ago.

You must be on Inbox of your account.

You will see the accounts you have setup

"Long press the account you want to change" and select and Account Settings. You will see "Notifications" in the list.

Yes that's what I have done Rojhan and after pressing

    I see:-

    Integrated Inbox
    All Messages
Account A I have set up
Account B I have set up

Long pressing on either account does bring up Account Settings and I do, indeed, see "Notifications" in the list but there is no "Blink LED" option.

    My "Notifications" options start with
    New mail notifications

    and end with
    Notification opens unread messages

as shown in the list already posted above (which I have edited to add the section headings to make it easier to read) so I am guessing it has to be something to do with the version I am using. Which version are you guys running on your phones please?

    I am on K-9 Mail Version 3.206

    In Notifications I have;
    "Blink LED when mail arrives"

Its the 7th option from top.

That's the answer then. Mine is 2.913 so an older version but that's the one available through the market so I'm a little pissed off especially since I paid for it. Grrrrr......

I just went back to check the application blurb and it says amongst other things....

This e-mail client IS DESIGNED for "Pure messenger widget" from Francois DESLANDES.

Merge with K9 official version is work in progress.

....so maybe it will update/merge in the future and I'll get an option to turn my goddamned LED off but for now it looks like I'll have to live with it.

Thanks for your input and your patience though guys. ;)
