I use my defy as my work and personal phone. Going on leave for a week and don't want to keep getting my work emails.

I use K9 mail with an IMAP set up. Can't find where to turn off the mail whilst I am away.

    Any ideas ? thanks

K-9 mail > Menu > Accounts > select your work email account with long press on it > Account settings > Fetching mail > Folder poll frequency > Never

    Hope this helps. :D

Setting 'Folder poll frequency' to 'never' doesn't keep my K9 Mail from receiving mails.

(I respond to this thread because it's still actual and scores high in Google)

Take a look at the Settings >> Global Settings >> Notifications options. There are 'Quiet Time' settings to disable K-9 notifications during the start and stop times you specify, if you want your mail notifications to only happen during a set time of your day. There's also a 'Network' option to enable/disable 'Background sync', if you feel like auto-syncing isn't necessary and are happy to just manually check for new emails.

Thanks for your answer, but I have others mail-accounts in K9 so can't disable all K9 notifications.

Do you have an option for keeping K9 from fetching, or being pushed, new e-mails for a single account?

I think I('ve) got it: I've set Push Folder to none.
