I just got my 1st smartphone (Droid X2) and installed the Yahoo mail app. I can retrieve email, reply, forward, etc but I am at a loss to find anything about composing a new email. Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks

You can find "compose" by pressing your phone's menu button when in the Yahoo app.

Once you figure everything out, you will love your phone. Enjoy your new toy.

Thank you for your response.

Like I said, I'm new at this. That being said, when I open the Yahoo mail app it shows my account w/the inbox, drafts, my folders, etc. If I press the menu button on my phone, it takes me back to my 'home' page. I know it has to be possible but I'm sure struggling w/this.

The way I have figured out how to compose a new email is by pulling up an old email from someone, tapping on their email address & choosing to compose a new email. This works but if I want to contact someone I don't hear from regularly & don't have their email address, then I'm stuck.

I will be taking a tutorial at the Verizon store after returning from vacation but until then if you can help me on this, I'd really appreciate it! I already love this phone so I know once I get over this obstacle I'll feel less challenged.

Again, thank you.

From the main page of the app. The page with your folders, drafts, sent etc.etc. press the left most hard button at the bottom of the phone(four little squares one white) that will bring up the options. Which has, Compose, Search, Refresh, Messenger, Options, & More.

This button(4 squares) brings up options in a lot of apps. If you can't find something always try hitting that button. If you still can't find what you're looking for search the DX2 forums. If you still can't find what you're looking for create a thread and ask for help :)

Thank you so very much!! Because it is new, the button names aren't registering automatically so of course, I was trying the home button yesterday, not the menu button. I'm embarassed but at the same time, I've only had this a week & feel I've figured out a lot other than this!! Thank you so very much!!!
