Every time I set it on anything other than performance

It seems everyones phone is differnent.... some cant take it.... try slowly turning up you scaling from 900...

My limit seems to be 944

I've been working on it now for over 30 minutes and I can't get it stable . When I try and open apps , it will crash on me . I'm doing a CWM restore right now and gonna try it a few more times and see what happens .

Yea... Im starting to believe that I got lucky with my certain processor... but I am going to eff with some more settings to get the best combo for everybody at 944... then call it a day...

I had two issues.1 was my fone kept freezing up.2 was phone kept restarting

Sounds good man . I'm flashing the kernel right now . Hopefully it'll take this time . If not , I'm gonna do the same thing and call it a night . I'll update this post in a few and let ya know if it took it or not .

UPDATE : Ok man , I got it to take but (lol) I lost my Market . WTH ?? Gotta install a version I've got and then install Voltage Control . Will update shortly .


UPDATE: Well , I got it installed but I can't get the damn market back on my phone for some reason . I don't have any file manager because everything got wiped when I flashed the kernel so I can't access the SD card .I tried using the ApkInstaller with a copy of the market but it will not let it install for some reason . That's enough for tonight , I'll try again tomorrow . Grrrr!!

UPDATE : Something got screwed up somewhere . After doing a CWM restore and I get my apps and set up back .... when I reboot , I lose everything now . Looks like a fresh install is needed . Crap , looks like it's gonna be a while before I hit the sack . Oh well , shit happens . lol

Thanks for the heads up . I just got through using Odin and am in the process of installing CM7 again just to make sure that whatever got corrupted is fixed . LOLO . I'm done 4 the night . It's gonna take me a while to get my phone back to where it was .

I was just curious if its possible to flash or restore too much? Can you corrupt the EFS partition? I know on the galaxy S they recommend backing that up but I thought someone else said any attempt would hard brick the prevail

My phone just froze with a "fuzzy" display while I had it tethered to my pc
its constantly freezing and rebooting to the bootani.
All this still remains in effect after my last post when i set sio i/o setting

Mine was doing the same set it to "interactive " and "sio" I haven't had any trouble since

interactive is a pretty good balance between power and battery life, not as good on battery as ondemand but better on power.

i agree with you phoneman.....except i use interactive x on all three of my devices...it doesnt seem to bad on battery..but gives you the right amount of responsiveness...the only reason i burn through a lil more battery is because i dont keep my minimum all the way down..if you keep it on the second or third from the bottom value..it is more snappy when waking thr phone up and unlocking it...i hate the lag you get when you wake the phone up and your fingers start moving to fast

I need 2 crash test dummies... one on cm7 and the other on cm9...

Im a crash test dummy for sure. Im running CM9 and have been trying everything to get this oc kernel to run. All Im doing is boot looping sometimes after the samsung screen, sometimes android flashes for a second then loops and then it made it to the cm9 screen once and froze !

LOL . It looks like I'm gonna have to wait on his next kernel . This one wouldn't work on my phone . It took 3 kernels to get mine to overclock the first time . It's crazy how the phones react differently .

Im glad I actually made a backup this time ! Restoring now and Im going to mess with the other cm9 stuff and see what bugs I can find and search for a cure !

It didn't work for just kept resetting, but interactive works fine so I'm going to keep that setting

Not to sound rude but this is the first OC kernel so I'm guessing if he did UV it, he would have said so since it would be the first UV kernel as well
