Is this compatible with the latest ZVC software update?

EDIT: Crap, my phone won't boot after the flash; stuck at the LG screen. Do you need to wipe cache? I guess I have to do a restore now :(

Same here, stuck at the LG screen.

Back up and running again with the software and data I had before the flash. Thank goodness for backup/restore feature of CWM. I still want to try this out to see what improvements are in the kernel; I want to try out SetCpu to see if I can overclock if the kernel allows for it.

For Boost users, you can flash the old stock recovery I have in my thread. It will keep the radio but puts the S/W version back at ZV3. Then flash this kernel.then factory reset, then fix permissions. It will boot fine then.
  7. Bionic Chronic

    Bionic Chronic Android Enthusiast

Are you saying this doesn't currently work on a Custom ROM, only Stock?
  8. TryingToRoot

    TryingToRoot Android Enthusiast

I am saying I could only get it to boot that way. But we will have to wait on Blood to find out if he included the update while making his kernel or if the boot image even affects it
  9. Bionic Chronic

    Bionic Chronic Android Enthusiast

Oh Ok. Yeah I will be waiting to flash this after I know for sure. Either way excited to see what Bloodawn has done! Have heard Many Many good things about Blood's work!

Yeah man, this guy has only had the phone since Thursday and we already have a kernel lol
  11. Bionic Chronic

    Bionic Chronic Android Enthusiast

RIGHT! I'm sayin! Haha. Could a possible just wipe cache or factory reset fix the boot issue after you flash this do you think?

does this mean it wont say anything differnt under kernel in "about phone", because mine doesnt say anything different.
  13. tombob

    tombob Well-Known Member

Just to confirm, this will not boot with Sprint ZVC update installed, even tried wipe cache.

A kernel is.exactly what I been waiting for Sadly have to report.that on all stock roms updated and non updated I never seen hyper kernel in the about phone setting I tried wipe and non wipe of.cash never had a boot problem either way
  15. TryingToRoot

    TryingToRoot Android Enthusiast

Ok wiping cache and fixing permissions on the new monster rom works like a charm. And he didn't rename the build. Power the phone off normally. Then power on and you will see his hyper kernel boot then your normal bootani

So ur saying it don't work on stock roms just m beats ABC?
  17. TryingToRoot

    TryingToRoot Android Enthusiast

No it works on stock and mbzvc/zv4. Just wipe cache and fix permissions after flashing
  18. Bloodawn

it won't show up in About phone until its built from source, right now its just a modified ramdisk.

I know it works on the stock ZV3 rom with ZVC baseband, thats all I've tested it on so far tho, but it should work on other setups.

Marky beats still has CIQ in it. all I did was remove a service from the kernel.

after rebooting about 3-4 times i still havent seen his hyper kernel boot if theres suppose to be a animation before the beats audio or boost mobile screen? or did i just misunderstand

you won't see the hyper kernel logo unless the phone is turned on while charging. LG has the main logo hidden somewhere so I can't change it yet.
