Root Kernel Suggestion

So, I've rooted my wife's Fascinate -- against her will. It's a great phone -- but at times seems very laggy.

I understand I could flash a new kernel to make things better.
But I need to do it and keep it pretty much stock'ish so the wife doesn't flip out on my that she has to redo her screens and such.

Any suggestions on a good kernel to just speed this thing up and squash the lag?

There's more options on 2.1 Eclair, but we have a leaked 2.2 Froyo out that's just as stable in a sense.

Thanks. She's 2.1. But I'm looking to just update the kernel, not an entire rom. I've looked through the kernel thread, but would love some input on what people might suggest to lose the lag.

Any one of these will work on 2.1, they're Voodoo kernels if you're familiar with that - most kernels today are Voodoo (simply put, it kicks the lag that you had at stock).

The UL ones are the undervolted and SV are standard voltage. I had to try a number of these before I found the perfect one that gave me performance and battery, which ended up being the UL 1200

Haha no problem Yeah, all you have to do it boot into clockwork and it'll flash over your current kernel. It'll take a while the first time you do it though. You'll hear a woman's voice counting down the time left. Give it about 10-15 minutes and you're good to go.

personally id recommend that your wife going with one of imnuts's undervolt kernels...im assuming she has no need for overclocking and those will get her better battery life

Yeah, I don't see a huge difference, if any in 1100 and 1300
