Many kernels (eg Siyah, Ninph) come with CWM bundled. I've been on Siyah 2.2? for the last few days which comes bundled with CWM 5. This now seems to be pretty stable and I want it to keep. Trouble is, CWM backups do not seem compatible between versions, so if I wanted to put another kernel on, how would I then keep this kernel and JUST put CWM5 back on top? Is there a .zip file just for CWM5 I could flash perhaps? Also, what link do you people on speedmod kernel use to download the latest? I cant seem to find a definite xda thread for it. There seem to be several so not sure which to use. Is there a .zip file for the latest speedmod? I wouldnt mind giving Speedmod a go as i've heard many good comments on it off different people, but like I said, I would like to try this with CWM5. Any ideas if there is a speedmod+BLN in the pipeline? This is the one thing that has put me off this kernel up to now.
