I am trying to find more information on the available soft keyboards for the Droid. The standard one that comes with the phone is simply awful, I only used the pull out keyboard. A few weeks ago I discovered the HTC IME keyboard and fell in love with it. Unfortunately with the new update it appears that that keyboard no longer works (force closes).

Was hoping to pull together a list of available keyboards and what all of you think of them. Currently I am trying SwiftKey which is alright but not perfect. I miss HTC's prediction capabilities. But for now anything is better than the basic one.

There is also Swype which is in closed beta right now. It will reopen at some point in time so your can watch for it and get it then. I have liked using it.
