I'll make a call, for example calling a credit card/bank, and how you have to enter your account number.

Well you'll hear the tones but it's like they're not being registered through the phone.

I have quite a few apps on my phone but nothing below 4 stars, I really don't know what to do I LOVE this phone but this is a huge drawback...

I've power cycled the phone and pulled the battery and it's not fixed it. any ideas?

    thanks in advance

Have you tried calling your home number and seeing if the tones are actually being transmitted?

I had the same issue. I turned off the Button tones. I have not had an issue for a while. I think the tone is too loud?? If you need to hear it, try turning it down. That may help also
