Yes ironass I think its due to KH3.
I'm not that bothered, as I've uninstalled Market 3.x and put it back to Market 2.x and all is ok with this version.
I think to be honest, I prefer the old version! But I usually say this until I've used something for any length of time.

I've not tried intalling Market 3.x onto KH3 (I initially installed it onto KG3)
I may try this just to see if it works.....

By the way ironass, what does that specialist rom your on give you over standard KH3?
How are you finding it? Any conclusions yet?

Edit: As I thought. Actually installing the Market v3 program onto KH3 seems to work fine.
Now all I need to do is work out which version I prefer!

Oh gosh! Where do I start with sicopat's KH3 ROM?

    It is very stable.

It's not fancy with loads of graphics. Just does what it says on the tin.

It is close to being stock KH3 (not a lot of mucking about with it).

    Everything works with ClockWorkMod

    Stock browser hardware accelerated

    Extended power button menu

Volume button to focus and shoot photos, better audio quality, usage with any battery life

    CRT effect fixed

    SIP enabled over 3G

    Stock battery

    Gtalk audio/video fixed

    SIP enabled on WIFI

Has Ninphetamine kernel that is overclockable to 1600 Mhz and undervoltable (saves battery).

There are also a whole host of mod options to suit yourself...

Customised boot animation of android cosmonaut. :)

    Home button lag fix

    Increasing ringtone fix

MMS fix up to 200 contacts

    Themes

and the list goes on and on. All the info is contained in the first 2 posts I mentioned.

Oh... and I should mention that sicopat, who is French I believe, is very polite and patient. :D

Thanks ironass. That seems a pretty extensive list for starters!
    Cheers mate.

Which one did you download on that page you linked to?

I've been contemplating putting on Lite'ning rom.
Have you tried this one also? If so, I assume sicopat's is better?

Tried Lite'ning a few weeks back and didn't like it I'm afraid.

As per my signature on the left... the KH3 ROM from sicopat. :)

there also seems to be growing support for revolution rom, which seems easy to download, and has it's own marketplace of customisations you can pick and choose from. seems very popular in australia for some reason

    any experience of this??

Thanks Nightangel, and I apologise for going off topic.

Looks like this ROM is another one to add to my list of "maybe's"

I'm new to this malarky, so are there any potiential problems that can occur by downloading many different roms to try out? Eg. will any settings/data/accounts/apps be lost for example?
Is it merely a case of download one, try it, if you dont like it, put your favourite back on?

Anything that I should be made aware of before I go gun-ho!?

Good idea... it did suddenly take a turn, unintentionally, to All Things Root. :D

Heard about it but not tried it I'm afraid.

Was rather hoping that the CyanogenMod (CM7) ROM would be more usable after all this time but I guess it is a big job and there are still too many drawbacks to it.

seems some people on here change their roms etc more frequently than their y-fronts. i think the only danger is data loss, but with back-up shouldn't be an issue. needs root though......

i think this is all part of the fun of android phones over i-phones.

Y-fronts!!! You're showing your age Sydney99, or are they back in fashion again?

I have to say that I have tended to stick with sicopat's ROM's whilst waiting for Cyanogen to iron out their problems.

I did have a brief excursion into trying other ROM's, such as Lite'ning, but always returned to sicopat because it just worked and is very good on battery and being a heavy user it lasts the day.

I agree... for those who wish to tinker, tweak and upgrade, then Android wins over iPhones easily. Far too restrictive for my liking but great for those who just are happy to use it out of the box and don't mind being told what to do and how to use them.
