I have a brand new S2 (no carrier)
But I cannot update the firmware to 2.3.6 with kies from 2.3.4 firmware.
The error I get is "Your device does not support software upgrading via kies"
The firmware version I got is:
I9100XXH3/I9100XXKH3/I9100XXKH3
I live in the Netherlands.
I tried this on my mac and window 7 machine but get the same error. OTA is not working either. Get the message "No update available".
Here is what I tried:
- Change the CSC code to XEU instead of KOR.
- Reset to factory
- Reinstalled KIES
- I just updated the phone of my girlfriend with Kies (which is i5510 device) to 2.3.6
Any ideas how to fix this without using ODIN or going back to the Samsung service center (wil have to leave my phone for 5 days) ?
