I have downloaded and installed kies 2.0.0.11011_16_5 but when I open te program I do not get english eventhough I selected it in the install. Does anyone have any ideas.

Try uninstalling the app, re-downloading it to your computer, and installing it again. You might have accidently gotten the wrong version of the software. Also double-check to make sure that you are connecting to the proper regional web site for Samsung (given that they have support sites for many different nations)...
