Support Kies sync issue. Not a "true" sync.

First let me ask if this is the right place for a Kies question? (Galaxy S3 related of course). If not, Mr.Moderator, please post in the appropriate section and notify me please.

I am new to Android and my S3 AND Kies.

I am only addressing my photo sync issue at this time.

I may or may not have a correct understanding of how syncing is supposed to work.

See my "tests" below, and my summary at the end.

    My settings:

    1. I have 16 GB ext SDcard in my S3. I have my camera settings set to save to the ext SDcard.

    2. I have a folder on my NAS box (available thru my computer) called "mypix". It contains 500 JPG files.

    3. I have installed Kies and set the "photos" to "Selected Folder" and pointed it to "mypix" on my computer.

    4. On the initial sync, it copied all 500 jpgs to my phone (camera|DCIM). (Expected).

    5. I took 2 more pictures with the camera. (I confirmed that they in fact, showed up on the SD card with the rest of the 500 pictures). Resulting in 502 files.

    6. On the next sync, nothing changed. "mypix" on my computer still had 500 files. The SD card still had 502. Nothing was "up-synced" to the computer.

    7. I manually added 4 DIFFERENT jpgs to the "mypix" folder. Now there are 504 files in that folder.

    8. On the next sync, those 4 files "down-synced" to the phone

    9. Now I had 506 files on the SD card.

Conclusion: Photos are only "down-syncing" from the computer not UP.

    Test 2:

    A. I deleted an item from the "mypix" folder on my computer:

    B. After syncing, that item WAS DELETED from my camera|DCIM folder.

    Conclusion: Deletions function on Down-syncing".

    Test 3:

    X. I deleted an item from the camera|DCIM folder.

    Y. After syncing, the item WAS NOT DELETED from the "mypix" folder on my computer.

Conclusion: Deletions DO NOT function on "up-syncing"

My understanding of a "true" sync as it relates to modern computer devices is that when two device are supposed to be "in sync", at the end of a successful sync process, both devices will have an exact, up to date copy of the data in question.

Thus if each device starts out with a true COPY of the data, and changes are made on either, or both devices, the modifications are time stamped. When the sync process begins, the sync program determines what modifcations have been made, and when. It then sorts out what data is old, and what data is the most recent, and applies those changes to the respective devices so that they are now, once again, in sync.

Is this the way Kies is supposed to function? Or is the way my Kies is functions the correct way? Because as you can see by my testing, both scenarios are very different.

Hearing nothing after 3 days, I will conclude that this is the wrong place for the question. So, where *IS* the correct place for a Kies & GS3 question?
